Mission
Denver School of Science and Technology, Cedar (DSST: Cedar), strongly believes that every student should be given the opportunity to take part in extracurricular activities, achieve personal growth, and have a chance to engage in lifetime experiences. DSST: Cedar is committed to the ideals of good sportsmanship, teamwork, ethical behavior, and integrity for all members of the community.
Research indicates that student athletes who are involved in extracurricular experiences manage their time more effectively and have higher grades than those who are not involved. Extracurricular activities are indeed the events of which positive school memories are made.
Vision
Our vision is to be a leading athletics department within DSST Public Schools, dedicated to empowering students through a balance of academic and athletic pursuits. We envision a future where our student-athletes excel both in the classroom and on the field, understanding the value of self-discipline, sacrifice, and dedication in achieving their goals. We strive to create a competitive environment that upholds DSST Core Values while fostering a sense of community, personal well-being, and a deep sense of pride in their school.

PHYSICALS
ALL STUDENTS wishing to participate in sports at DSST: Cedar MUST submit a current physical (within the past year) form. As of 2025, the only athletic physical examination form that will be accepted is the CHSAA Physical Form. This form is linked into our athletics registration, and you can also access this form by clicking the button next to this text.
